Join TNAFP for a KSA on Palliative Care and earn 8 CME hours to help meet American Board of Family Medicine certification requirements.

The new Palliative Care ABFM-developed KSA activity will help family physicians evaluate and enhance their knowledge base in an increasingly important topic for older patients and their families or caregivers. Participants will gain an understanding of the general principles of pain management and the legal, regulatory, cultural and psychological aspects of palliative care.

  • managing common palliative care syndromes
  • recognizing and managing palliative care emergencies
  • effective communication strategies
  • shared decision making
  • ethical considerations

Must have at least 20 registrations by Monday, April 10, or course will be cancelled.
