Robust Advocacy

TNAFP is the single most influential voice for family physicians in Tennessee, representing 2,200 members on Capitol Hill in Nashville and coordinating with AAFP at the federal level to ensure family physicians have a seat at the table on important healthcare policy decisions.

Quality CME

TNAFP offers a variety of convenient, cost-effective professional development programs to enhance members’ clinical acumen and ensure they meet state licensure and national membership requirements.

Camaraderie and Connectivity

Members use the Academy to build meaningful relationships with their physician peers and stay informed about what is happening in the specialty in TN and nationally.

Leadership Opportunities

TNAFP gives family physicians unique opportunities to engage in medicine outside of their practice walls, develop new leadership skills and grow in their practice and profession.

Unrivaled Support

Members have access to exclusive resources, products and services through TNAFP and third-party partners to enhance their practice so they can focus on patient care.

“Joining TNAFP was the smartest thing I have ever done. Years later, I have a network of friends and colleagues who genuinely care and understand the challenges and difficulties we face as family doctors. And we can work together to effect change.”

The TNAFP Annual Conference is the single largest family medicine event in Tennessee. Members enjoy engaging CME sessions, camaraderie and an awards and leadership installation dinner.

TNAFP members and staff ensure that family medicine has a seat at the table during the Tennessee General Assembly through weekly Lobby Days.

“Being a TNAFP member has provided meaningful leadership opportunities, including participation in national conferences like NCCL, while connecting me with a strong network of passionate, like-minded family physicians across Tennessee. Through advocacy initiatives and accessible, high-quality CME, the Academy strengthens both my professional growth and my ability to serve my patients and community.”
