TNAFP Leadership Elections
The TNAFP Nominating Committee is soliciting candidates to fill open positions on the Board of Directors and Congress of Delegates.
All members are invited and encouraged to nominate themselves or a peer to voluntarily serve in a leadership position representing a geographic district within the state.
The Nominating Committee will recommend a slate of candidates for the following positions that are open during the 2023 election cycle and the TNAFP Congress of Delegates will vote to elect representatives during its annual meeting on Tuesday, October 31 in Gatlinburg.
- Board Directors and Alternate Directors for districts 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 (two-year terms)
- Congress Delegates and Alternate Delegates for districts 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 (two-year terms)
- Resident Directors, Alternate Directors, Delegates and Alternate Delegates (1-year terms)
The deadline for all nominations is June 30, 2023. Congress may also consider nominations from the floor during the meeting.
2023 Schedule and Process
May 5 – June 30
Nominations open for all members to submit candidates
July
Nominating Committee convenes to review nominations, identify additional candidates (if necessary) and prepare a recommended slate of nominees for open positions
TNAFP notifies nominees of the Nominating Committee’s selections to confirm their acceptance and allow candidates time to plan to attend the annual conference
October 31
Nominating Committee officially presents its slate of candidates during the annual Congress and Delegates vote to approve a list of representatives
Leaders are officially installed during the President’s Banquet of the annual conference and new leadership terms begin

NOMINATE
The TNAFP Nominating Committee encourages all members to self-nominate and/or recommend peers for leadership positions. There is no limit to the number of nominations any one member or district can submit. The more nominations, the better the slate of candidates.
