East Tennessee Flood Relief Efforts
TNAFP members across the state continue expressing heartfelt concern for communities affected by Hurricane Helene’s catastrophic flooding in East Tennessee.
While the Academy is unaware of any members who have experienced direct, significant loss, the cleanup and recovery efforts in the affected communities will take months, or longer, leaving many patients without access to essential transportation, communication, medications and even clean water.

Flood Relief Resources and Information
- East Tennessee State University – ETSU has published an extensive online list of ways the system is responding to Hurricane Helene, including resources for people to get help or contribute to the relief efforts.
- NETNHub – The Northeast Tennessee Regional Hub has an online recovery directory including a crisis hotline for those in need and an extensive list of resources at the national, state, regional and county levels.
- TEMA – The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency has a dedicated Hurricane Helene webpage with volunteer and donation information, plus resources for those in need.
- WJHL – News Channel 11 in Johnson City is updating a running list on its website of local agencies and retailers accepting donations and volunteers.
