TennCare has announced that smoking cessation medications are now on the Auto Exempt List, which means
these medications are exempt from the monthly limit of five prescriptions or two brands.
Providing greater access to cessation products gives Tennesseans who want to quit more options and support
to do so. The Tennessee Academy of Family Physicians appreciates TennCare’s decision to remove barriers
for people who want to stop using tobacco.
